Marketing Manager

Overview:

The Marketing Manager will help research, plan and execute marketing activities and initiatives for Syneron-Candela’s North America Body Shaping Products.  that span both our physician and consumer markets. The individual must be able to work in a fast paced environment, be able to respond nimbly to rapid changes, and handle multiple competing demands simultaneously. Must embrace change and growth opportunities with excitement and a “hands-on” approach.

General Responsibilities:

  • Support development of a comprehensive, strategic brand plan for our physician and consumer body contouring markets. This will include, but is not limited to advertising, direct to physician promotions, consumer outreach programs, workshop and tradeshow plans, clinical studies and sales tools, new product launches and establishing framework for global marketing campaigns
  • Develop sales tools and marketing support to drive physician lead generation, sales initiatives and consumer awareness;
  • Implement  product specific communications activities including external / internal communication
  • Responsible for  tradeshow presence, brand communication at shows, show related promotional activities relative to covered brands.
  • Help Drive  direct to physician and direct to patient public relations efforts related to the brand
  • Provide input for Practice Marketing Programs as they relate to the brand
  • Work with agencies on digital/social media marketing strategies
  • Develop  trackable product specific lead generation programs.
  • Develop metrics and utilize tools like salesforce.com  and  Marketo with other team members to measure and evaluate success in optimizing marketing initiatives
  • Provide content and input on workshop strategy for the brand
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with agencies/vendors and internal resources to drive superior market results.
  • Must be comfortable with working within the Aesthetics product portolio. 
  • Knowledge/Educational Requirements
  • Strong project management, creative instincts, , organizational and interpersonal skills with sensitivity to global cultures and norms.
  • Bachelors in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in marketing and communications in either the beauty /wellness or aesthetics medical device experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with SalesForce and Marketo is a bonus
  • Experience developing and managing budgets
  • Ability to work across cross-functional teams, presenting to senior leadership and managing initiatives independently.
  • Must exhibit excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • 20-30% travel is required throughout the year, possibly some international travel.  Due to international needs, flexibility to participate in occasional phone calls at early morning or early evening hours.
Product Manager

Manages the entire product life cycle from concept through release and handoff to downstream marketing. Also manages product through lifecycle enhancements and end of life.

· Gathers, defines and leads the product requirements process based on market/clinical inputs and company internal information. Continually monitors market trends, VOC and competition.

· Ensures the product design reflects business objectives and market needs. Works closely with the business partners, R&D, RA, Clinical, Operations, Service, QA, Sales and other internal stakeholders during product development and as needed after the product is commercialized.

· Builds the business plan and conducts financial analysis for different product performance aspects (ASP, GM, annual revenues, etc.) and recommends pricing.

· Contributes to distinctive product positioning, messaging and branding to drive competitive advantage, revenue and market share.

· Monitors competitive activity, including robust competitive analysis.

· Influences the company’s product roadmap.

· Conducts ongoing market/post-marketing clinical research, supported by communication with leading KOLs and customers.

· Communicates customer feedback to engineering, manufacturing and sales to enhance existing product(s) or product line(s)

Skills Set Required

· Technical/engineering/scientific degree + MBA (an advantage).

· 3+ years of marketing/product management experience in a medical device company - a must.

· 3+ years of experience in a multi-disciplinary technology company - a must.

· Good understanding of clinical and regulatory processes – a must.

 Knowledge in project management and product management methodologies – a must.

· Knowledge of software tools such as Microsoft project strongly desired

· Ability to travel domestically and abroad.

· Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.

Marketing Director, Body - Irvine

Overview:

Reporting to the Global VP, Downstream Marketing, the Marketing Director Body will be accountable for the development and implementation of marketing strategies and programs in support of the Body Contouring portfolio of products.  Position will require experience in both HCP and Consumer Marketing.

 

General Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with cross functional teams and global partners to develop strategic marketing plans
  • Lead the Body Contouring portfolio marketing plan process bringing key market insights to marketing partners and executing against plan
  • Identify need gaps in each consumer care continuum and define product strategies to address the gaps
  • Work with Upstream Marketing, Sales and Operations to define new product opportunities.
  • Develop product positioning and messaging.
  • Conduct competitor analyses to share with key stakeholders.
  • Manage and develop relationships with luminaries and research institutes
  • Manage and develop a marketing manager
  • Work with marketing communications to develop customer and consumer-facing marketing materials.

Field Service Engineer II

Will provide field support on Candela equipment in assigned territory and out of at times, outside of territory as required. Install/remove/repair and upgrade; preventative maintenance and sell service contracts. High level of account management required. Proficiency in laser technology. Ability to maintain an average repeat call rate of 5% or less. Addresses 100% of PM’s by contacting customers. Sells service contracts with 80% penetration. Performs installations and service repairs. This role is a 100% traveling position. Weekend work required as needed. Responsible to sell service contracts. Responsible for providing a high level of communication to dispatch, Regional Manager, and customers on an ongoing basis. Focus of this position is to provide a high level of performance in customer service, repair work, and contract sales. A strong focus on developing account management skills. Requires a minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in a service rep position. A.S degree in electronics or equivalent combined with experience. Biomedical laser experience preferred. Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics.

These roles are available in various geographies throughout the US. The ideal candidate will have experience in outside sales within the Aesthetics industry combined with Capital Equipment sales, Laser sales, RF sales with sales experience to Dermatologists, Plastic Surgeons and Med Spas. Experience in practice development and marketing, Experience driving product utilization in accounts.
